Melus, son of abbot Angelus, accuses Desideus, son of the late Romoaldus, of having occupied part of the land that Iohannes, son of the late Romoaldus and brother of Desideus, gave to his daughter Gemma, wife of Melus. Melus presents Siconis “comes et iudex” with a document showing Iohannes' donation. Siconis therefore orders Desideus to swear that he would never occupy Gemma's land again and that he would respect the possessions pertaining to it. The parties appointed as guarantor Iohannes called "donum dei", son of the late Gregorius “clericus et medicus”.

Settlement of a dispute concerning a number of plots of land in Pastorano and Lirino. The dispute was discussed in presence of Romoladus [sic] “iudex” by the following people: Melus, son of Angelus abbot; Iohannes, cleric, son of the late Sergius of Atrani; Constantinus of Atrani, son of the late Urlandus; Maurus of Atrani, son of the late Iohannes Calbarusus; Leo of Atrani and his sister Grusa, sons of the late Constantinus Calbarusus, together with Iohannes, son of Marinus, now monk and former husband of Grusa. Among the documents mentioned, there is another formal judgment dated to the 18th regnal year of Gisulf, concerning another dispute between Melus and Iohannes clericus, where Melus appointed Marius “clericus et medicus”, son of the late Iaquintus, as guarantor [“fideiussor”] of the veracity of the transactions described in three documents he presented in court.

Summary of a dispute discussed at the presence of Iohannes "iudex" by Mascinus "clericus", son of the late Romualdus, and Iohannes of Atrani, brother of Leo and son of the late Maurus, concerning the boundaries of a land in “Albole” and Transboneia. Among the documents brought to court, Mascinus presents a charter of 1059 [19th year of Gisulf] with the confirmation of rights made by prince Gisulf concerning properties in Transboneia, Albole, Aqua Palombara, Monte Falerezu, Aqua Iohannes, Caput de Aqua, Sabuculu and Fossatu to the following people: Mascinus clericus and Adelarius, sons of Romoaldus; Iaquintus and Ademarius, sons of Madelmus; Pantaleo of Atrani, son of the late Petrus; Ursus son of the late Sergius castaldus and his wife Pulissena, daughter of the late Alferius; Blatta, wife of Petrus Granitus and daughter of Sergius of Atrani; Gregorius and Risus, cleric, sons of the late Iaquintus “clericus et medicus”. Iohannes iudex, orders (1) Mascinus and Iohannes to exchange the wadia; (2) Iohannes to swear on the copy of the Gospels provided by Mascinus that one of the documents he presented – which Mascins declared a forgery. After this, Iohannes iudex confirms Iohannes’ property of the land in Albole. As fideiussores, Mascinus chooses Petrus de Rocca, son of the late Iaquintus, and Iohannes Stephanus, son of the late Leo of Atriani.

At the presence of Iohannes iudex, Mansa, daughter of the late Leo of Apulia and widow of the late Iohannes Falceara, together with her sons Petrus and Iohannes, gives back to Maraldus, clericus and medicus and abbot of the church of S. Maria in Salerno a house in Salerno that they have rented from him, under the payment of 36 golden tari. Mansa showed a document written by Iohannes notarius and signed by Iohannes abbas, Ademarius notarius and Iohannes notarius, stating (1) that she rented this house for 26 years in 1058 [18th regnal year of Gisulf] from Iohannes, clericus and abbot of the church of S. Maria, after Iohannes had bought it from her, and (2) that in case the church wanted it back, Iohannes committed himself in paying 30 golden solidi; as fideiussor, Iohannes chose Alfanus clericus, son of the late Ademarius.
